Fusible Machine Appliqué
Learn the art of the fusible machine appliqué process to include preparing applique’ pieces, placement of the appliqué pieces on the quilt, threads to use and machine stitching using the blanket stitch.

Supplies Required:
Pattern of Choice or UFO
Fabric for your applique’
Heat n Bond Lite ~ amount needed for your pattern
Thread to match applique’ pieces
General Sewing supplies: scissors, pins etc.
Optional: travel iron and ironing surface. Classroom has 2 ironing stations
You may use one of the classroom Bernina machines or bring your own! If you bring your own machine make sure it has a setting for the blanket stitch or zig zag
- Pre-class Preparation:
Trace appliqué pieces on PAPER side of Heat n Bond Lite
Roughly cut out the applique’ pieces - DO NOT cut them out on the exact lines
Label each piece and place them in baggies for organization
